Official Records and Custody Routes
For current confinement and recent admits, begin with the sheriff-operated Citizen Connect Inmate Confinements page. It is the verified county booking channel. The sheriff’s public office is also the appropriate starting point for a written Texas Public Information Act request for an existing booking record or a releasable booking photograph.

Texas Public Information Act requests are governed by Government Code Chapter 552, and fees may apply under that law.

- For a booking record or a requested photo, send the sheriff a written request for existing records and ask which fields or images, if any, are releasable.

- For a sentenced state-prison record, use the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Offender Search, which is separate from the county confinement system.
